The trip through the 2,509 m high Timmelsjoch tunnel into the South Tyrolean wine region through the Passeier valley to Meran is an unforgettable experience. The toll road is open daily in summer from June until mid October, 07.00 to 20,00 o'clock.

With the discovery of "Ötzi" the Iceman in 1991 the Ötztal valley has one more cultural sensation.

The Ötztal Nature Park, as well as other nature reserves in the Ötz and Stubai Alpine areas, is home to several unique ecological zones worthy of protection and definitely worth a visit.
